President, ASU
"Each and every book I own contains pages from my life. They serve as markers of my professional and intellectual development, my likes and dislikes and the many courses I took along the bends and curves leading to Albany, Georgia. These books sometimes shout of things long forgotten. They remind me by their covers and their scent of proud, joyous, bittersweet, poignant and triumphant moments. They have earned my respect and companionship - even the ones I have yet to read.

My journey at ASU is represents a new book with many chapters still to be written. Our institution brings men and women, young and old, together for intellectual debate and discovery. Disagreements will erupt and linger far longer than they should. People will be misunderstood. Mistakes will be made. Feelings will be hurt. But ASU is far more important and significant than any one person. In the vernacular of our youth, ASU has and will continue to "live large" because it has a good scent about it. So I invite you to comment, discuss and engage on this forum and contribute to the great epic novel we call Albany State University."

Imagine a campus, a community,or a world, where people concentrate on developing positive relationships and building good energy between each other. Albany State can exemplify yet another example of Potential.Realized, as we have the potential to be the number one campus for good energy in the world. If students, faculty, and staff make an effort to change the campus culture for the better, we can harness our Ram Power and turn it into Good Energy!

I am looking forward to Good Energy Day at Albany State University (Albany, GA). Positive energy is what we should always give out to others. It is compassion and caring about one another that has set us apart from others. It has been stated that people don't care about how much you know until they know how much you care. Let's all participate in Good Energy Day on 9/9/09 and see what a difference it will make. It only takes a spark to start a fire.

I am truly excited about Good Energy Day, though everyday I always try to have good energy in every moment of my life. To quote Bobby McFerrin’s "Don't Worry Be Happy," "In every life we have some trouble. When you worry you make it double. Don't worry, be happy...Cause when you worry your face will frown and that will bring everybody down. So don't worry, be happy." Good energy is something that each of us can have and use, so please join together and celebrate Good Energy not only on 9/9/09 but all the time! Smile, do good deeds, and be optimistic...Pay it Forward!

I am looking forward to Good Energy Day! I am very passionate about the happiness of others and do whatever I can to make it possible. This is the opportunity for everyone to experience the joy of making a difference by connecting with one another and bridging the gap. Good energy is a big part of making this world a better place.

Not to be confused with Earth Day which is held on April 22nd each year. The Good Energy Movement reminds me of the Up With People lyrics: “If more people were for people, all people everywhere, there’d be a lot less people to worry about and a lot more people who care.”

What the world needs now is love and more love! During this period in our world, the people have suffered many hardships, disappointments, and pains. These victims need a symbol of hope to believe in and a beacon of light to guide their path. What better way to do this then by sharing Good Energy with the people around you!! Let's offer a smile, give a laugh, and offer your heart!
